In a society where we are often quick to expose and condemn wickedness, we must also not hesitate to proclaim and celebrate the goodness in others. E jé ká rò èjò olóore fún aráyé—bí a ṣe ń sọ̀rọ̀ nípa ẹni burúkú, kò sí ohun tó yẹ kí ó dá wa lórí láti sọ̀rọ̀ nípa ẹni rere. We owe it to our collective conscience to appreciate those whose lives and actions bring light into our dear communities.

Hon. Ademola Obafemi Ojo, the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters in Oyo State is not the type of politician that clamors for attention or seeks validation through noise. Rather, he is a silent achiever whose footprints speak louder than words. His dedication to service and relentless commitment to the progress of the people are clearly visible in every corner of the community he serves.

He is not just a leader, he is a builder. A builder of people, a cultivator of destinies, a mentor to many and a political father whose investments in others have yielded generations of productive and value-driven individuals. While some leaders amass followers, Hon. Obafemi Ojo breeds leaders. He understands that the greatest legacy any man can leave behind is not in buildings or monuments but in people.

For years, he has committed himself to raising future leaders equipping young minds with the right values, supporting their aspirations and guiding them through the right path. Many of us today are testaments to his selfless leadership and mentorship. He doesn’t just lead from the front; he walks alongside his people and sometimes steps behind them so they can rise.

Through his role as Commissioner, he has transformed the way local governance and chieftaincy matters are handled. He brings wisdom, fairness and a sense of dignity to every decision. His respect for culture and tradition, combined with his progressive vision for development makes him a bridge between the old and the new.

As a community builder, I cannot help but acknowledge the grace of God upon his life. Àdúrà wa ni pé, kí Ọlọrun oba ṣàánú fun wọ́n , kí ó ṣe ọ̀nà won sí rere, kí ó dá ọ lórí gbogbo ipa yin. You have served well and may Heaven continue to reward you accordingly. You have raised many, may you never lack support in your own journey. You have planted seeds of greatness, may your harvest be bountiful in all areas of your life.

To the good people of Oyo State and Nigeria at large, we must recognize and celebrate good leadership when we see it. Hon. Ademola Obafemi Ojo is a rare breed, dependable, visionary, humble and results-oriented. His life teaches us that politics can be clean, that service can be noble and that legacy is built through impact not noise.

As long as God gives us breath, we shall continue to pray for your growth and protection. May your steps be guided, may your strength never fail, and may your light shine even brighter.

Thank you for your sacrifices, for your mentorship and for believing in the future of others.
