Good Friday: Oyo Commissioner Felicitates Christians Commends Governor Makinde’s Christ Like Leadership Style

The Oyo State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Hon (Mrs) Oluwatoyin Balogun, has extended her heartfelt felicitations to the Christian community in Oyo State and across the globe on the occasion of Good Friday celebration

In her message, released earlier today, Commissioner Balogun reflected on the profound significance of the day, which commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, and drew parallels between the values embodied by Jesus and the leadership style of Governor Seyi Makinde.

Hon(Mrs)Toyin Balogun emphasized that Good Friday serves as a powerful reminder of sacrifice, love, and redemption. She stated, “Today, as we reflect on the ultimate sacrifice made by Jesus Christ for humanity, we are reminded of the virtues of selfless service, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the well-being of others.”

The Commissioner also lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for his dedication to the welfare of the citizens and his commitment to good governance appreciating him for aligning his leadership style to the virtues and precepts of selflessness,sacrifice and commitment to the greater good as typified by Jesus Christ

“Just as Jesus Christ exemplified love and sacrifice, Governor Makinde has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to the progress and prosperity of Oyo State and its people not minding the calls on his time and many sacrifices he’s had to make to be able to provide succor for his people” she asserted.

She further commended the Welfaristivlc initiatives of the Makinde-led administration that, in her view, mirror the teachings and spirit of Jesus Christ.

These include the administration’s focus on inclusivity, ensuring that all segments of society, including the vulnerable, are catered for through various social intervention and poverty alleviation programs.,

The recent rancour free and peaceful Zonal Congress elections hosted and coordinated by His Excellency is a clear departure from chaotic exercises of the past and is another exemplar indicating his inclusive leadership style which takes into cognizance and makes provision for the interests of other key stskeholders

She also applauded the Governor’s efforts in promoting peace, unity, and justice within the state.

“Governor Makinde’s leadership is characterized by empathy, fairness, and a genuine desire to uplift the lives of the common man. These are the same values that Jesus Christ preached and lived by,” Hon (Mrs) Balogun noted.

The Commissioner urged Christians to use the occasion of Good Friday to reflect on the lessons of the crucifixion and to emulate the virtues of Jesus Christ in their daily lives.
She also called on all residents of Oyo State to continue to support the Governor’s administration in its efforts to build a better and more prosperous state for all.

“Let the spirit of sacrifice, love, and hope that Good Friday represents guide us in our interactions and strengthen our resolve to work together for the greater good of Oyo State,” she concluded, wishing everyone a peaceful and reflective Good Friday.
