A Prominent political figure, Mayegun Sunday Olusegun Babanumi has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Oyo State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Chief Yekini Adeojo.

In a heartfelt statement released today, the initiator of Sunday Olusegun Babanuni Initiative described the late Chief Adeojo as not only a respected leader and philanthropist but also a mentor and a crucial pillar in the state’s democratic landscape.

In his tribute, the Mayegun Babanumi highlighted Chief Adeojo’s unwavering commitment to the principles of democracy and his tireless efforts in fostering political stability within Oyo State.

He emphasized the pivotal role Chief Adeojo played in the PDP, offering guidance and support to numerous party members over the years.

“The passing of Chief Yekini Adeojo is a profound loss for Oyo State and the PDP,” the Mayegun Babanumi stated.

“He was more than just a political leader; he was a mentor to many, including myself. His wisdom, his dedication to democratic ideals, and his unwavering commitment to the progress of our state were truly remarkable. He stood as a pillar of democracy, and his absence will be deeply felt.”

“Chief Adeojo possessed a rare ability to bring people together,” the Mayegun Babanumi added.
“He was a unifying force within the PDP, always working towards the common good. His contributions to the growth and stability of our party are immeasurable.”
