The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, has expressed deep sadness over the passing of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain and Seriki Musulumi of Yorubaland, Alhaji Yekini Adeojo.

The Speaker, in a condolence message said the late Alhaji Adeojo was a close political ally of his late father, Chief Adeseun Ogundoyin, and had remained a pillar of support to the Ogundoyin family.
The Speaker recalled that his late father, Chief Adeseun Ogundoyin, was one of the financiers of Alhaji Adeojo’s gubernatorial ambition under the National Republican Convention (NRC) in the early 1990s.

“Oyo State PDP, and the entire party in Nigeria has lost a devoted and committed loyalist and supporter. Late Chief Yekini Adeojo was a thorough bred politician who was supported and campaigned for by my late Dad, Chief Adeseun Ogundoyin. He was a very good father figure to the entire Ogundoyin family. His demise has left a huge vacuum in our lives, and we will miss his wise counsel and guidance. May Allah grant him paradise”. Oyo Speaker prayed

He praised Alhaji Adeojo’s contributions to the development of Oyo State in general, noting that his wisdom and experience would be greatly missed.

Rt. Hon. Ogundoyin extended his condolences to the family of the deceased, the PDP family in Oyo State, and the entire people of the state.
He prayed that God would grant the deceased eternal rest and comfort his loved ones during this difficult time.
Rt. Hon. Ogundoyin urged everyone to take solace in the good life and legacies of the departed PDP chieftain.
