Afonja performs umrah in Makkah, donates N1m to Oja’gbo central mosque for Ihtikaf

Professor Abdulrahman Raphael Afonja (PARA), a young politician from Ogbomoso, has embarked on a spiritual journey to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform the lesser Hajj, also known as Umrah.

This was made known during a chat with MOUTHPIECE NGR on Thursday.

While performing the umrah rite, Afonja prayed for Nigeria’s prosperity and for Allah’s divine guidance for Governor Seyi Makinde as he leads Oyo State’s affairs.

The former Oyo commissioner for works and transport equally donated a sum of one million naira to Oja’gbo central mosque for Ihtikaf in demonstration of his devotion and strives toward the cause of islam.

The pilgrimage marks a time of spiritual reflection and prayer for Professor Afonja, who has consistently shown devotion to his faith since embracing Islam in 2022.

His visit to Saudi Arabia for Umrah also signifies a period for seeking divine guidance as he continue to serve humanity.
