As the world unites to celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025, the Aare Egbe Omo Balogun of Ibadanland, Oloye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke has commended the strength, resilience, and unwavering dedication of women, particularly in Oyo State, for their remarkable role in family, society, and governance.

Recognizing the significance of this year’s IWD theme, “Accelerate Action,” The Solutions 93.9 FM Chairman, Olooye Adegoke called for greater efforts in empowering women and ensuring gender equality across all sectors. He noted that women continue to be pillars of strength, balancing multiple responsibilities, especially in the present season of Ramadan and Lent, where many are engaged in both spiritual devotion and family coordination.

“Women are the heart of our homes and society. At a time like this, when many are observing Ramadan and Lent, their ability to manage homes, support their families, and remain committed to their faith is truly commendable. We must continue to support and uplift them,” he stated.

The Jericho Businessmen Club (JBC) Ibadan President applauded Governor Seyi Makinde for his commitment to women’s empowerment, particularly through his administration’s inclusive policies and appointments of women in key government positions.

“Governor Makinde has demonstrated progressive leadership by giving women significant opportunities in governance. Their contributions have been invaluable, and I encourage continued efforts to enhance their participation in decision-making,” he added.

As Nigeria joins the rest of the world in celebrating International Women’s Day, Oloye Adegoke reiterated his call for accelerated action in education, economic empowerment, and leadership opportunities for women.

The Business Tycoon urged both public and private sectors to invest in policies that support women’s growth and development.
