Seven former Local Government Chairmen in Oyo State today visited the State Secretariat of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Molete, Ibadan, to reaffirm their loyalty and commitment to the party and the Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration.

The former council bosses, who were received at the Secretariat, include Hon. Kazeem Gbadamosi (Lagelu), Hon. Oyin Adeoye (Ibarapa Central), Hon. Popoola Olaide Settle (Oluyole), Hon. Gbenga Ọbalowo (Ibarapa East), Hon. Sunday Akindele (Afijio), Hon. Sanusi Musibau (Ona Ara), and Hon. Kabiru Ayoade (Ogbomoso North).

During their visit, they pledged their unwavering dedication to the success of the party, the government, and the governor, vowing to continue working towards strengthening the PDP in the state.

Receiving them on behalf of the State Chairman, Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro, the State Secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, assured them that their commitment has been duly noted. He emphasized that as long as they remain aligned with the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde, the party will continue to carry them along in its affairs.

The visit ended on a positive note, with the former Chairmen leaving the PDP Secretariat filled with joy, peace, and assurance that they still have a vital role to play in ensuring that the party remains a formidable force in Oyo State and beyond 2027.
