In his message, he prayed for a successful and fruitful Ramadan period for the Muslim faithful, encouraging them to embrace the spiritual significance of the season.

Otunba Opatoki, a well-respected figure in both political and community circles, urged Muslims to use this holy month for reflection, self-discipline, and deep spiritual growth. He emphasized the importance of prayer during this sacred period, particularly in light of the challenges facing the nation.

In his statement, Otunba Opatoki said, “As we begin this blessed month of Ramadan, I extend my warmest greetings to all Muslims across Oyo State, Nigeria, and around the world. Ramadan is a time for personal growth, for reflection, and for coming together in prayer. It is a period to strengthen our faith and renew our commitment to peace, unity, and progress.”

He further encouraged the Muslim community to offer prayers not only for their personal well-being but also for the unity and peace of the nation. “I call upon all Muslims to include prayers for the unity of our country in their supplications during this Ramadan,” Opatoki added. “May Allah grant us the strength and wisdom to overcome our differences, fostering a nation where peace and unity thrive.”

In his message, Opatoki also acknowledged the efforts of political leaders, urging them to continue working towards a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria. He appealed for unity among all citizens, regardless of religion or background, highlighting that it is only through collective effort and mutual respect that the nation can achieve lasting peace and development.

“I encourage all Muslims to continue to pray for the continued success and progress of our nation, as well as for the welfare of all citizens. This Ramadan, let us also reflect on the values of compassion, kindness, and generosity that are central to our faith,” he concluded.
