The George Aid Foundation, Texas, and its Nigerian counterpart, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Ibadan Jericho Metro, distributed food items to hundreds of street sweepers under the Oyo State Ministry of Environment.

The beneficiaries were selected from approximately 1,000 street sweepers cleaning Ibadan, the largest city in West Africa.
At the flag-off ceremony of the February 2025 edition of the monthly food bank, Oyo State Commissioner for Environment, Architect Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, thanked the George Aid Foundation for considering the street sweepers under the ministry. Architect Mogbonjubola expressed the ministry’s desire to support more individuals, stating that they are “always seeking more for others who are yet to benefit.”

Dr. Sunday Ojelabi, Permanent Secretary of the state Ministry of Environment, urged well-meaning individuals to emulate the George Aid Foundation and Rotary Club of Ibadan Jericho Metro. Rotarian Omolara Oluborode, representing the President of the Rotary Club, highlighted the collaborative effort between the club and George Aid Foundation to bring succor to families and society at large.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude, singing praises of the donors. This marks the second time the George Aid Foundation and Rotary Club of Ibadan Jericho Metro have distributed food items to the street sweepers.
