Transforming Lives: Oyo Lawmaker, Alabamusa Cash Empowerment Initiative Reaches Over 150 Constituents ..as Ambassador Arapaja, Oyo PDP Scribe Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke applauded the Lawmaker.

In a bid to alleviate poverty and promote economic empowerment, Members of Oyo State House of Assembly representing Ibadan South East Constituency 1, Hon. Akande Modiu Opeyemi Alabamusa has successfully implemented a cash empowerment initiative that has benefited over 150 constituents.

The initiative, aimed at supporting vulnerable members of the community, provided financial assistance to beneficiaries, enabling them to start or expand their businesses, pay school fees, and meet other essential needs.

However, the occasion was also used to commission the official constituency office of the lawmaker cited at Aleshinloye compound, Isale-Ijebu, Ward 02, Ibadan South East local government.

In his opening remarks at the ceremony, Hon. Akande Modiu, representing Ibadan South East Constituency 1, emphasized his commitment to transforming the lives of his constituents through the support of the party stakeholders, leaders, and members.

According to him, “As a responsible lawmaker, I must ensure that my constituents have access to resources that can improve their livelihoods, coupled with oversight functions and laws aimed at influencing and promoting pacesetter State” he stated.

The cash empowerment initiative is part of Hon. Akande Modiu’s broader efforts to drive economic growth, reduce poverty, and promote social development in his constituency.

Akande, who doubles as the Chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, used the medium to roll out his activities for the past year in office, which included drilling two gigantic boreholes in Ward 02 and Ward 06, opening his Constituency office, drilling a well, providing Solar lights, constructing bridge and culvert and several others.

In their separate goodwill message, the representatives of the Deputy National Chairman (South) People’s Democratic Party, Ambassador Taofeek Oladejo Arapaja, and the State Party Secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke applauded the visionary leadership of the Lawmaker, highlighting his commitment to empowering hua constituents and promoting economic growth.

The duo praised Hon. Modiu Akande’s tireless efforts to improve the lives of his constituents, describing him as a shining example of the PDP’s values, and urging others to emulate his example.

“This empowerment program is a testament to our party’s dedication to empowering citizens and promoting economic growth,” Arapaja said.

Mr. Oyeladun Abiodun Samuel, on behalf of the beneficiaries, expressed gratitude to Hon. Akande Modiu, praising his kindness and dedication to their well-being.

He said, this initiative has not only improved the economic prospects of beneficiaries but has also reinforced Hon. Akande Modiu’s reputation as a caring and effective lawmaker based on his antecedents at the hallow chamber of the House.
