This evening, I visited the site of the unfortunate explosion in Bodija, Ibadan, expressing my solidarity with the people and government of Oyo state during this challenging time.

My heartfelt condolences go out to the affected residents and their families. It is truly regrettable to witness such a tragic incident.

I extend my sympathies to those who lost their lives, their properties, and the injured. I hope for a swift recovery for those currently in the hospital.

I commend the efforts of our dedicated agencies, including the Fire Service, Nigerian Police Force, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel, Nigerian Army, NEMA, DSS, and Amotekun Corps among others.

In light of this distressing event, I call on the federal government, relevant agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to provide crucial humanitarian support to the victims.

Let us come together to aid those in need during this challenging period.
