Oyo Govt’ Inaugurates Committee for Youth Summit, Appoint Boladuro as Chairman

The Oyo State Government through the Ministry of Youth and Sports has inaugurated a committee to organize a Youth Summit aimed at empowering young people in the state.

The Youth Summit is expected to provide a platform for young people to share their ideas, showcase their talents, and develop skills that will enable them to contribute positively to the state’s development.

The committee, tagged Central Working Committee, is tasked with planning and executing a successful summit that addresses the needs and aspirations of Oyo State youths.

The committee’s responsibilities include setting the agenda for the summit, selecting speakers and facilitators, and coordinating logistics.

Mr. Olajide Boladuro, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Central Working Committee, overseeing the overall planning and execution of the summit. As chairman, Mr. Boladuro will provide strategic leadership and guidance to the committee.

Hon. Ayo Olopoeyan will serve as the Co-Chairman, supporting the chairman and ensuring the summit’s objectives are met. Deji Ola has been appointed as the Secretary of the committee, handling the administrative and logistical aspects of the summit.

Other members of the central committee include Hon. Victor Olojede, Honourable Busoye Ogunlade, Olorundare Olamide Wilson, Dayo Ogunbowale, Bashorun Saintabey, Stephen Adegboyega, Comrade Ademisoye Adebobola Agbeja, Comr Quadri Abdulsalam, Honourable Nafisat Gbadegesin, and Alhaja K.O Mustapha. These individuals bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the committee, ensuring that the Youth Summit is a success.

Honourable Wasilat Adegoke, Commissioner for Youth and Sports, emphasized Governor Makinde’s commitment to empowering Oyo State youths. Recognizing their crucial role in driving economic growth and leading the state’s future, the government is investing in their development.

By providing platforms for young people to share ideas and showcase talents, the government is unlocking their potential and preparing them for future challenges.

This commitment reflects Governor Makinde’s vision for a brighter future, where empowered youths drive growth, innovation, and progress.

Mr. Olajide Boladuro, Chairman of the Central Committee, is optimistic that the youth of Oyo State, spanning all 33 local government areas, will be fully represented and included.

This encompasses a diverse range of individuals, including artisans, marketers, students, and members of religious groups, ensuring a comprehensive and inclusive approach, he noted that the youth summit will come up in the month of April.
