In a show of solidarity, Hon. Wale Canada, the Oyo State lawmaker representing the Atisbo/Saki-East State Constituency, recently visited the family of the late Mr. Ayiki Olokoto, also known as Oloko Agba, in Sepeteri, Saki East Local Government Area. The late Olokoto, a respected elder and member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), passed away last Tuesday after a brief illness.

The condolence visit took place at the Ogbooro compound in Sepeteri, where Hon. Wale Canada, accompanied by party members, met with the deceased’s widow and elder son, Mr. Akeem Olaonipekun. During the visit, Mr. Akeem shared the family’s emotional journey and the challenges his father faced during his final days.

Hon. Wale Canada, through a statement issued by his Personal Assistant, Mr. Jimoh O. Oladoja, highlighted the significance of the visit. He emphasized the vital role the deceased played within the PDP, both during and after the last general election. Hon. Canada expressed his condolences and praised the late Olokoto’s dedication to the party and community.

As part of the visit, Hon. Wale Canada, who currently serves as the Chairman of the House Committee on Health, prayed for the peaceful repose of the departed soul and for Allah’s mercy on the grieving family. He also extended a financial contribution to support the widow in this difficult time.

Additionally, Hon. Canada encouraged Mr. Akeem Olaonipekun Adewale, the deceased’s son, to maintain open communication with him and assured him of his continued support.

Hon. Wale Canada’s visit underscores his deep sense of responsibility and solidarity with the family of the late Olokoto during their time of mourning.
