The Executive Chairman of Ido local government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, has sent a congratulatory message to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) who has just been elevated to a higher rank.

The chairman, in his heartfelt congratulatory message to the newly elevated officer, Mr. Hassan Khalil, described him as a fine officer who, along with other officers, did their best to keep their jurisdiction safe and secure while serving as the DPO Ile-Ido.

“Your new rank and elevation is a well-deserved promotion, as a gallant officer who put in his best for the safety of the people of Ile-Ido”

This is contained in the message of the chairman during the January edition of the local government’s monthly Peace and Security meeting.

The council boss said it’s good to celebrate diligent and dedicated officers to spur them to do more.

It is also a way of telling the idle and indolent type that nobody celebrates mediocrity.

In his response, Mr Hassan Khalil thanked the chairman for his unwavering support and understanding in making his tenure as the DPO Ile-Ido a huge success.

He appealed to the chairman and other officers in the Peace and Security meeting to extend the same corporation to whoever succeeds him as the DPO.

As usual, other security agencies gave the security reports of their jurisdiction in the month under review, which were positive, while those beyond their power have been revered to the appropriate authority after showing appreciation to the chairman for the hand fellowship extended to them during the yuletide period and the distribution of solar powered lights to all the security agencies.
