The Ibarapa Business Summit 2.0, held on January 17th and 18th, 2025, in OYSCATECH Igboora, Oyo State, left an indelible mark on the Ibarapa region. This two-day transformative event brought together over 650 participants, including business leaders, aspiring entrepreneurs, students, and dignitaries, Corp members, all united by the vision of fostering growth, innovation, and empowerment within the community.

The summit opened with a keynote lecture by Coach Adejesubisi, the convener, who set the tone with his inspiring mantra: “Money answers to strategies; you can script your way to wealth.” His powerful words emphasized the importance of zeal, resilience, and strategic planning in achieving success. Attendees were challenged to develop a mindset for growth in knowledge, health, social connections, and spirituality.

Day 1 featured a dynamic panel session with Dr. Amoo Gafar, Mr Olawale Opeagbe, Mrs. Olawoore Helen, and Hon. Bosun Ibikunle, who shared personal stories of overcoming challenges through resilience, networking, and a quest for excellence. The evening workshop was equally impactful, with practical sessions on leveraging social media, accessing grants, and building globally visible brands.

Day 2, the grand finale, was a celebration of possibilities. Prof. Akinlabi K. Akinola, the Rector of OYSCATECH, unveiled untapped opportunities in Ibarapa, from the cassava and charcoal industries to tourism prospects at Idere Hills. His words resonated: “The treasure we seek lies before us, but our mindset and vision determine our success.”

Dr. Awotiku Kunle’s lecture was another highlight. He challenged participants to see themselves as creators in the universe, urging them to prepare elevator pitches and think through problems to find solutions. His session introduced practical tools like SWOT analysis and SMART goal-setting, empowering participants to seize opportunities effectively.

The highlight of the day was the empowerment and awards session. Five entrepreneurs received free CAC business registrations, and the star of the day, Mr. Joshua Olayinka Oladele, walked away with a ₦100,000 grant to boost his business. Scholarships, including a laptop for one deserving student, were also awarded, showcasing the summit’s commitment to changing lives.

Participants were not left empty-handed. Over half received copies of Coach Adejesubisi’s newly launched book, “Before You Start That Business,” alongside gifts like rice packs, refreshments, and certificates of participation.

The summit’s success was a testament to the power of collaboration. With support from notable sponsors and the passion of its organizers, Ibarapa Business Summit 2.0 proved to be more than just an event—it was a movement.

As plans are already underway for the third edition in Eruwa next year, the Ibarapa Business Summit is fast becoming a beacon of hope and a hub for innovation. To all who dream of a better Ibarapa and beyond, this is the platform to be part of.
