Alaafin stool: My supporters abandoned me for money, Oyo Prince Dr Ayobami Sanda Ladigbolu laments !!!

Greetings and congratulations to the new Àlàáfin of Ọ̀yọ́ and my contest experience.

I congratulate Oba Aláàfin Abimbola Akeem Owoade , the new Àlàáfin of Ọ̀yọ́ town.

He was chosen by God almighty. Ọba Akeem Abimbola Owoade has been destined to take the throne. I am happy for him. The entire Ladigbolu family felicitate with the new king. Congratulations. Kaabiesi.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Agbonhin Sanda Orídọta family for nominating me to represent them as one of the candidates from the Ladigbolu section of the Agunloye royal family. The general Ladigbolu family’s acceptance of my nomination is likewise greatly appreciated. I appreciate my brother, Prince Agogo Kamilu for supporting me wholeheartedly.

I had the most joy of my life during the competition for the ALAAFINATE’s crown. There are many unknowns, nervous times, and the capacity to communicate with people from various social classes. I had meetings with people that I should not have met in ten years time. The experience was of one a kind. I enjoyed meeting with the Oyomesi in council.

I am grateful to all those who helped me get in touch with certain powerful individuals in my pursuit of the throne. I am appreciative of those people who supported me, especially those who accompanied me to significant events. I learned the value of money in one’s life from the race for the crown of ALAAFINATE.

Due to financial constraints, some of the people who first backed me later switched to another candidate. When I needed their help on the ALAAFINATE issue, those I had previously supported did the exact reverse for me.

When it comes time to help me, those I have helped with their businesses run away. I am not upset with them. I just took away some lessons for the future.

I am grateful to all the people who supported me with money. I appreciate your generosity. I appreciate my siblings, my wife and my children for their wonderful support.

I must appreciate Labby Owoboye for staying with me especially when things went awry. I appreciate other people who I am not allowed to mention their names.

I share a great bond with Prince KoladeTunde Sanni Oladigbolu and Omo’ba Oladigbolu Muideen Adekunle during the period of the contest. The three of us are musketeers. Despite contesting against each other, we love each other like blood brothers should do. Thank you, my blood.

I urge the natives of Oyo town to support the New King. Contests for kingship are not without a few controversies. We should manage the controversy and support the new king to build a viable Ọ̀yo and Yorùbá land of our dream.

Congratulations to Oyo Aláàfin, congratulations to Yorùbá land for getting a new Àlàáfin. Congratulations to Nigeria. Congratulations to all towns and countries whose origin is the Oyo empire.
