The Executive Chairman of Ona Ara Local Government, Dr. Temitope Kolapo Glorious, has reaffirmed his commitment to driving economic growth and attracting investments as he officially commissioned the IRIS Grocery Park Supermarket at Ariyo Bus Stop.
In a statement released by his Media Aide, Mr. Rahmon Alawode, Dr. Glorious described the supermarket’s opening as a significant milestone for Ona Ara’s economic development. He commended Governor Seyi Makinde for completing the Olorunsogo-Ariyo road, which he noted has created an enabling environment for business growth in the area.
Dr. Glorious also praised the Chief Executive Officer of IRIS Grocery Park Supermarket and producer of Jekomo Herbals, Alhaji Oladimeji Rahmon, for investing in Ona Ara. He emphasized the potential of such developments to generate employment and stimulate commerce in the local economy.
Accompanying the Chairman at the event were key members of his administration, including the Chief of Staff, Hon. Isiaka Arinola, and the Supervisor for Works, Hon. Adekola Adeniran.
Dr. Glorious encouraged other investors to recognize Ona Ara’s strategic advantages and the ongoing infrastructural improvements driven by Governor Seyi Makinde’s leadership. “Ona Ara Local Government is a fertile ground for business, and we are committed to ensuring a supportive environment where investors can thrive,” he stated.
The event was graced by prominent dignitaries, including Chief Ganiy Jiga, President of Ibadan Recreation Club; Chief Abiodun Adepetu; and Alhaji Almoruf Oluyole, among others.
The commissioning ceremony drew enthusiastic participation from community leaders, business stakeholders, and residents, all of whom expressed optimism about the positive changes and growing opportunities in Ona Ara.
