In a remarkable display of generosity and community spirit, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi has initiated a significant philanthropic effort to support Ibadan market traders who were devastated by recent fire incidents.

The initiative, executed through Iyaloja Saratu Aduke Konibaje, aims to provide crucial financial assistance to affected traders, underscoring Sanusi’s commitment to the welfare of the community.

Among the key beneficiaries is the Araromi Gate spare parts market, which suffered extensive damage in a fire last December.

Recognising the urgent need for support, Chief Sanusi, a well-respected philanthropist, pledged substantial financial aid to help traders rebuild their businesses.

Iyaloja Saratu, known for her compassion and leadership in the market community, organised a heartfelt reception at Araromi Gate market, where she presented a generous donation of four million naira (N4,000,000) on behalf of Chief Sanusi.

The event was attended by the market’s traditional leadership, including the Baale, along with various union and association leaders, all of whom expressed their gratitude for Sanusi’s timely intervention.

During her address, Iyaloja Saratu emphasised the importance of resilience and hope, urging traders to rise above the challenges posed by the fire.

She noted the unfortunate delays in assistance from other quarters, including government officials, but reassured the traders that Chief Sanusi’s commitment reflects genuine concern for their livelihoods.

In a further demonstration of his dedication to the community, Chief Sanusi’s philanthropic efforts also extended to another market in the Akinyele area, primarily populated by Hausa traders.

Iyaloja Saratu accompanied by local leaders, presented an additional one million five hundred thousand Naira (N1,500,000) to assist traders affected by the recent fire.

The leadership at both markets expressed their unwavering support for Chief Sanusi’s initiatives, with many vowing to back him in future political and leadership endeavours in Oyo State.

The traders at Araromi Gate market showered prayers upon Chief Sanusi, recognising his integrity, truthfulness, and commitment to uplift the community.

Despite the challenges they face, traders have expressed their hope that more support will come their way, urging Sanusi, through the Iyaloja to leverage his influence to secure additional assistance from government entities and other notable figures.

The initiative by Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi added to a growing list of philanthropic actions that have benefited various markets affected by fire incidents, including Sango Market, Eleyele Market, and Akinyele Market, all facilitated through the leadership of Iyaloja Saratu Aduke Konibaje.
