The Oyo State Government through the State Agency for Youths Development under the Chairman, Hon. Adebowale Adebayo Falana has announced his plans and joined forces to partake in the much anticipated Iseyin local government PDP Youth Summit 2025, which is set to be held from January 14th, 15th, and 16th, 2025 at the iconic Iseyin City Hall, Iseyin, Oyo State.
However, this assurance was given on Thursday, during the courtesy visit of the youth summit committee to the office of the Chairman, Oyo State Agency for Youths Development
The planned summit aims to bring together young people from across Iseyin local government People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Youths in the region to discuss key issues in rebuilding the party from the national level to the grassroots and to explore ways to drive positive change.
In his remarks, Hon. Adebowale Adebayo Falana lauded the committee, most especially the party youth from Iseyin local government, for hosting such a laudable and impactful summit at this crucial time, which is line with His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde FNSE in transforming PDP in Oyo State and Southwestern Nigeria as a whole.
Adebowale further commended the Governor of Oyo State for his fatherly role in promoting the not-too-young-to-rule bill thereby nurturing and giving Pacesetter youth different political office from the state down to the grassroots level.
“In the history of Òyó State, no second-term governor has recruited recent numbers of job seekers into the civil Service of the state, appointing 45 Permanent Secretary, and others mention but few,” he said.
He also noted that the Oyo State Agency for Youth’s participation in the summit demonstrates its commitment to empowering young people and promoting youth development in the region.
According to the summit committee member, Hon. Hammed Olabisi, the summit will provide a platform for young people to engage with leaders, share their ideas, and learn from each other’s experiences in such a way as to rebuild the party image from the grassroots level as well as uniting its members.
Olabisi also reels out other events attached to the summit like digital training powered by Hon. Shina Abiola Peller, Youth rally, Novelty Match, welcoming new Members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as well as a lecture at the grand finale tagged “Roles of Youth in Rebuilding Party from National level to Grassroots” to be anchored by Iseyin NUT Chairman, Comrade Ademola Wasiu.
“This is our way of promoting the party in Iseyin local government, and projecting the image of His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde, as the summit approaches, young people from Iseyin Local Government and surrounding areas are eagerly anticipating the opportunity to come together, share their voices, and shape the future of the Party” he stated.
The Oyo Youth Agency’s involvement is likely to contribute significantly to the summit’s success

Babalola Olayinka Rahmon (Councilor), and Hon. Eyinade Kayode.
