Lagelu Local Government Chairman, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, has delivered a heartfelt New Year’s message, reflecting on the remarkable progress achieved in 2024 and setting the tone for a promising 2025.

In his address, Kamorudeen expressed deep appreciation for the collective efforts of the community, acknowledging the contributions of traditional leaders, religious figures, stakeholders, and the people of Lagelu for their unwavering support and dedication throughout the year.

“The past year has been one of challenge and triumph, growth and transformation,” Kamorudeen remarked. “Together, we embarked on a journey to uplift every corner of Lagelu, to build a brighter future for our children, and to lay the foundations of a stronger, more united community. With each passing day, through your dedication and resilience, we made remarkable progress.”

Kamorudeen highlighted key achievements in 2024, including road construction projects that have increased connectivity between rural and urban areas, the provision of borehole water facilities in underserved communities, the strengthening of local security networks, and the support given to local small businesses and startups.

These accomplishments, he emphasized, were the result of collective effort and determination.

“This progress didn’t happen overnight, and it certainly didn’t happen by chance. It was the result of the hard work, the sacrifice, and the commitment of each of you,” Kamorudeen said,

lauding the wisdom of traditional leaders, the unity fostered by religious leaders, and the innovative ideas of stakeholders.

Looking forward to 2025, Kamorudeen expressed optimism and confidence in the future, pledging to continue the work of building a more prosperous and united Lagelu.

He promised further infrastructure projects, expanded access to education, and more opportunities for business growth. He also reiterated his commitment to ensuring that no one in the local government would be left behind in the pursuit of progress.

“The challenges ahead are real, and the road may still be long, but I am filled with hope—hope that is rooted in the resilience and determination I have seen time and again in this community,” Kamorudeen affirmed.

“As we step into 2025, we do so with a clear sense of purpose. We know that if we work together, there is nothing we cannot achieve.”

The Chairman concluded by expressing his gratitude for the trust placed in him and his continued dedication to serving the people of Lagelu with integrity and passion.

He urged the community to remain united and committed to collective progress in the coming year.

“I believe deeply in the potential of Lagelu. I believe in the power of our collective will to overcome any obstacle.

And I believe that 2025 will be a year of great opportunity—a year where we can turn our shared vision of a brighter future into reality.”

He wished all residents a Happy New Year, expressing hope that 2025 would be a year of possibility, progress, and unity for all of Lagelu Local Government.
