As the Year 2024 is running to an end with Yuletide in the air, Hon. Dr. Olufunke Comforter Adeniyi-Olajide, the lawmaker representing Ibadan North Constituency 1 at the Oyo State House of Assembly has extended goodwill and support to Party Members, Stakeholders Wards & Local Government Excos, Sects Leaders and Members of the Community.
In such spirit, Hon. Dr. Olajide, affectionately called “OLUTUNU DE” reached out to residents of her constituency and beyond with various relief materials, including rice, hamper, other essential food items, and financial support.
The gesture was aimed at ensuring that her constituents partake fully in the joy of the season.
During the distribution exercise, which covered all 6 wards within the Ibadan North Constituency 1 Party executives, community leaders and residents were beneficiaries of his goodwill.
Cash gifts were presented to the aforementioned to appreciate their contributions to the constituency’s development and to ease the burden of celebrating the season.
In her statement while she doled out these relief packages, Hon. Comforter made a point that this season is a time of love, sharing, selflessness and compassion.
“This season reminds us of the importance of giving back and supporting one another. It is my joy to ensure that as many people as possible in our constituency and outside can celebrate the end of the year with happiness and dignity,” she said.
In addition to the aforementioned gestures, the beautiful Lawmaker extended arms of benevolence to the immediate environment where her Constituency Office is located at Yemetu, Ibadan.
Every of the neighbour within and without the area received their gift of benevolence (fondly referred to as Nnkan Odun). Children and People with Disability who were just passing by weren’t left behind as they took snapshot with the Honourable and she in turn blessed them as the case may be.
Furthermore, OlutunuDe also paid a courtesy visit to the site of her Polling Unit in Ward 5 of Ibadan North Local Government.
She fulfilled her promise of checking up on them during the festive period. Even as it was getting dark, people came out in their numbers and they appreciated her visit and gifts, which included Cash, Hamper and additional Solar Street Lights to the ones which she had erected earlier in the year.
The Zonal Chairmen of the PDP in Ward 5 (The Home Ward of Hon. Comforter), Ibadan North Local Government also came and presented an Award of Excellence to her.
This followed the earlier Award given to the Lawmaker by the Elders of the People’s Democratic Party in Ibadan North Local Government and this summed up her activity toward the end of the year.
One of the respondents/beneficiaries expressed gratitude to Hon. Comforter on behalf of the beneficiaries, for the lawmaker’s thoughtfulness, describing it as a reflection of her dedication to seeing to the welfare of her people.
“Hon. Comforter has always been a woman of the people. She has this aura of greatness around her. She had done her part in the collective Relief by all Elected and Appointed Officers in Ibadan North Local Government yet she does this now.
This gesture has brought joy to many families this season as the cash gift and other support will go a long way in motivating us as we work towards ensuring continued development in our constituency and to ensure victory for the PDP at the forthcoming By-Election for the Federal House of Representatives Member.” He said
