The founder of Olusegun Okanlawon Foundation, OOF, has bagged the Solitary Evolution Academy (SEA), Community Impact Award for his humanitarian and philanthropic support projects in the State.
Olusegun Okanlawon who donated the sum of ₦500,000 to a young intelligent writer discovered by the Convener of the Ibarapa GenZ Conference.
The cash support is to help the creativity of the young writer to publish some of her literary works.
Solitary Evolution Academy, SEA, is a non profit organization that helps teenagers and youth to use their ‘Alone Time’ to grow, build confidence, and achieve success.
SEA seeks to recognise and appreciate individuals and organizations with outstanding performances in the areas of community engagement and advocacy.
The award ceremony which was presented on the 26th of December, 2024 at the Ibarapa GenZ Conference organized by the Solitary Evolution Academy.
Olusegun Okanlawon, a distinguished philanthropist and political stalwart from the Ibarapa zone of Oyo State, is the Founder and Chairman of Olusegun Okanlawon Foundation, OOF.
The award celebrates Olusegun Okanlawon’s unflappable commitments, underscoring his pivotal role in empowering the youths, job creation, scholarship schemes, mentorship and unmatched sport activities in Ibarapa zone.
Speaking after receiving the award, the Chairman of the Olusegun Okanlawon Foundation, Ambassador Engr. Dr. David Olusegun Okanlawon said, “the merit award which truly speaks of the Academy’s desire to appreciate teens’ academic growth and development and hence commend everyone who contributes a quota or two towards that aim of teen emancipation.
“Mrs.Bola Akinteye Bola Akinteye has once again proved her unflinching love towards teens and the initiative is indeed a laudable one.
“In the spirit of synergy, I deemed it important to offer a support of N500,000 for a young and intelligent writer discovered by the Convener.
The teenager who was said to have tens of unpublished stories has shown enough determination and deserves to see her efforts published.
“We love and respect what Mrs Bola Akinteye is doing for the growth of our community and we urge others who have the capacity to feed our communities with their wealth of knowledge, moral or financial support.
Together we can give back to our society and build future leaders,” Okanlawon added.
