A United based Nigerian doctor, Chief (Dr.) Tokunbo Olukoya the Otun Parakoyi of Ibadanland and Mayegun of Isamuro Ago Iwoye Ogun state has explained that his vision for embarking on construction of a multi million naira medical pavilion for the people of Isheri community in Ifo local government area of Ogun State is to collaborate with the government towards providing accessible, high-quality primary health care that will improve the welfare of the people in the said community and its environs.
Dr. Chief Tokunbo Olukoya who is the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of TAMDE Health Care WeCare-Ng stated this while paying homage to the palace of Olofin Isheri Awori land, Oba Sulaimon Adekunle Bamgbade, the Olofin of Isheri Adimula of Awori land on Friday 29th November, 2024.
Dr.Tokunbo Olukoya, who is presently in the United States of America, was represented at the palace by his bosom friend and BOT member of the TAMDE/WE CARE Foundation. Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige Chairman Local Government Staff Pension Board, Oyo State at the palace.
This medium highlights the commendable efforts of Chief (Dr.) Tokunbo Olukoya, a United State.-based Nigerian healthcare administrators, and his wife, Chief (Mrs.) Adekunbi Olukoya, in constructing a state-of-the-art healthcare pavilion in Isheri, Ogun State.
The initiative aims to improve access to quality primary healthcare in the region through a public-private partnership.
Dr. Olukoya in partnership with his loving wife, Mrs. Adekunbi Olukoya are committed to providing accessible, high-quality healthcare to underserved communities in Nigeria.
Their goal is to address healthcare disparities and uplift the welfare of people in Isheri and surrounding areas.
The pavilion will offer essential services like health screenings, maternal and child care, and treatment for common ailments.
This effort builds on their previous philanthropic projects, such as the 2021 renovation of the Oke Ogbe Health Center in Ago Iwoye.
The project has received blessings from Oba Sulaimon Adekunle Bamgbade, the Olofin of Isheri, who expressed his gratitude for the initiative.
The monarch promised his support to ensure its success.
The project, located in Queen Garden Estate, Isheri North, is 85% complete and expected to open by May, 2025.
The construction is a collaboration between private stakeholders and the Ogun State Government.
Meanwhile, following the Isheri pavilion, the Olukoyas intend to undertake a similar project in Oyo State, showcasing their broader commitment to healthcare improvements in Nigeria.
This initiative underscores the Olukoyasโ dedication to leveraging their resources and influence to create lasting change in the healthcare sector, reflecting their deep sense of community responsibility and philanthropy.
During the visit to the palace of Olofin Isheri Itori land, Oba Sulaimon Adekunle Bamgbade, the representative of Dr. Olukoya, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige was accompanied by Dr. Olukoya’s mother, Rev. Dr. Ayoka Olukoya and his childhood friend, Mr Adeleke Onakoya.
Others include a Prince from Iresaadu kingdom in Surulere local government area, Prince Taofiki Fatai Adeyemi, the Chairman/CEO Tam Oil and Gas industry, Alhaji Ayobami Muideen and Mr Rasaki Olubode.
