In the household of fuji, Dr. Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, MFR played the role of torch bearer. He took the music to international audiences in the late 1980s, touring Europe and America, having successfully developed his art from the crude were and apala sounds. He introduced new instruments to the genre, notably the piano. As Taye “Ayinde” Adebisi, Currency as also did it in BBM album released almost 10 years in the track 3, Olorun O Pin K’odgba.

Barrister created bridges of piano sounds and in the process invented the softer melody that is part of the genre today.

Fuji was originally a music of drums and gongs which explains the depth of its rhythm. As Taiwo “Ayinde” also started his music career while he was in primary school at age 6, progressively as year passes by his depth of music tracks makes the average length, which stretches from fifteen to thirty minutes, go by quickly for fuji musicians and fans—they vigorously dance through these explosions of sounds.

He took on national and international issues ,stages of life and it was indeed an album of evergreen.

More than three decades, Taye Currency have been singing, undoubtedly he is on top of his career with several thousands of award to his credit from all over the world for over two decades. Within Southwest states today especially Ibadan is still the most enlighten, influential of fuji musicians, past or present, in that regard.

He will be 50 years old by 17th Day of December, 2024. His growing up was so humble but began struggle from a house to another, as back up and instrumentalist to a man who holds the microphone. He built his first house in the 30s, he huge millions at his mid 30s and consistently he did not only have properties in Ibadan alone but also in parts of Nigeria.

He is a true family man, singlehandedly nurture ,train and finance all his children and successfully today he is a proud father of not just a lawmaker but a principal officer in Oyo State House of Assembly, he has another successful daughter doing fine in London and Canada while the other ones in Nigeria are into businesses.

Currency respect all fuji musicians but found passionate love for a music scion , a man who adore Anobi Barrister like heaven, Mayegun Wasiu Ayinde Marshal who is a music son of the only Anobi of Fuji. One generation,one Anobi but list of prophets can be endless

In Yoruba tradition, important discussions are always preceded with proverbs. So “Ayinde” Adebisi starts his songs with a proverb that translates to “what concerns one, concerns all.”
