The coordinator, Mrs Tope Aworele in a meeting on Friday, highlighted the governor’s commitment to enhancing local governance and improving the welfare of local government employees. He emphasized that the administration's policies have significantly impacted service delivery and community development.
"We are grateful for the governor’s unwavering support and for prioritizing the needs of local government staff," Mrs Aworele stated. "His initiatives have not only boosted our morale but have also equipped us with the necessary tools to serve our communities better."
The secretaries commended the governor for his proactive approach to addressing challenges faced by local governments, including improved funding and infrastructure development.
Governor Makinde, who has been focused on enhancing governance at all levels, responded positively to the appreciation, reaffirming his commitment to continuous improvement in local governance.
They concluded with a pledge to continue collaborating with the state government led Makinde's administration to ensure the effective implementation of policies that benefit the citizenry and whereas as the respective local government chairmen with maximum readiness to work and utmost cooperation.
As Oyo State moves forward, the partnership between the state government and local councils appears to be strengthening, promising a brighter future for its residents.
