ONDO DECIDES: OYO LAWMAKER AND COMMITTEE SECRETARY (DIRECTORATE OF WOMEN MOBILIZATION), HON COMFORTER GRACES PDP CAMPAIGN FLAGOFF

Yesterday at the St John’s, Oyemekun Street, AKURE, the People’s Democratic Party held the FlagOff Campaign of His Excellency, Barr. H.E. Alfred Agboola Ajayi and Hon. Festus Akingbaso as the Next Governor and Deputy Governor respectively, of Ondo State.

Oyo State Lawmaker and Chairman on House Committee on Women Affairs and Community Development, Hon. Dr. Olufunke Comforter Adeniyi-Olajide, currently serve as the Ondo State Committee Secretary for the Women Campaign, under the leadership of our Party’s National Women Leader who also chairs the Women Committee, Hon. Mrs. Amina Darasimi Bryhm.

The venue of the event was changed at the Eleventh hour from the Democracy Park to the Main Oyemekun Road which turned out to be a blessing in disguise as thousands thronged on the main road and Akure stood still for more than 6 hours that the FlagOff Ceremony took place.

The synergy at which PDP bigwigs at the National and State Levels worked at the Campaign FlagOff pointed to only one thing, THERE IS UNITY WITHIN THE PARTY VICTORY IS GUARANTEED for our Great Party at the November 16th Elections.

The mammoth crowd, who stood under the sun and (Oh the rains didn’t disturb us), were encouraged to support the only political party in Nigeria that truly cares about the welfare of its citizens than the other major party who takes delight in ensuring Citizens can’t afford 2 square meals in a daily. Part of the Party Leaders who attended the rally were the Acting National Chairman of the PDP, Amb. Umar Damuagun, the Chairman of the PDP Governor’s Forum and also the Governor of Bauchi State, Sen. Bala Muhammed, Oyo State Governor and the Leader of the PDP in the SouthWest, His EXCELLENCY, Engr Seyi Makinde, the Deputy Chairman (South) of the PDP, Amb Arapaja Oladejo Taofeek , His Excellency, Sen Ademola Adeleke , the Executive Governor of Osun State who is also the Chairman, National Campaign Council, the National Women Leader of our Party, Hon. DARASIMI BRYHM and other National Excos, the Ondo State Party Excos led by its Chairman, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Bakita Bello and His Excellency, Barr. Hazeem Gbolarumi.

“I also met with the PDP Members of Ondo State House of Assembly and they pledged their supports to ensure that PDP returns to the helms of affairs in the State.” She Stated.

Over the next few weeks, the campaign to convince the good people of Ondo State shall reach its peak and shall end as we celebrate the victory of AGBO/FESSY on the 16th of November, 2024.

As and when due, the timetable for the Women Mobilization Campaign and Activities shall be released.
