Ondo State Election: Governor Makinde Calls on Professor Yakubu To Replace Ondo REC.

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has called on Professor Mahmood Yakubu, the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to remove the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Ondo State, Mrs Oluwatoyin Babalola ahead of the November 16, 2024, governorship election.

Governor Makinde made the call earlier today in Akure, Ondo state during the Campaign Flag Off of the PDP Governorship Election, saying that, Mrs Babalola is an indigene of Ondo State.

The Governor stressed that the Party will continue to protest until Mrs Babalola is removed as REC in Ondo State.

He emphasized that, if INEC wants to conduct a free, fair and credible Election, Mrs Babalola should not be involved in the November 16, 2024.
