I stand before you today as the Executive Chairman of Ibadan South West Local Government, Honorable Kehinde Akande, with immense joy and gratitude in my heart. As we bid farewell to the year 2023, it is with great pleasure that I congratulate each and every one of you for making it into the new year, 2024.

This transition marks a new chapter in our lives, filled with endless possibilities and opportunities for growth and development. I commend the resilience and tenacity of our citizens, who have faced various challenges throughout the previous year. Your strength and determination have brought us to this moment, and I am confident that together, we can overcome any obstacles that lie ahead.

As we step into the new year, my foremost prayer is for a thriving economy within our local government. May our businesses flourish, providing employment opportunities and improving the standard of living for all our citizens. Let us strive for sustainable development, attracting investments that will benefit our communities and enhance our infrastructure.

Furthermore, I wish to extend my warmest wishes for the wellbeing and prosperity of each and every one of you. May good health be your constant companion, and may happiness and fulfillment dwell in your homes and hearts. Let us foster a spirit of unity and solidarity, working hand in hand to create a harmonious and inclusive society for everyone.

To my esteemed members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), I urge you to be prepared and resolute as we embark on our party campaign in January. This is an opportunity to connect with our constituents, listen to their concerns, and present them with our vision for a brighter future. Let us embody the values of our party and mobilize our energies towards effecting positive change within our local government.

In conclusion, as we embrace the new year, let us remember that our collective destiny lies in our hands. Together, we can shape a future that is brighter, more prosperous, and equitable for all. I am honored to serve as your Executive Chairman, and I pledge my unwavering commitment to the progress and betterment of Ibadan South West Local Government.
