A Germany-based businessman, ICT consultant and politician, Hon. Olayinka Segelu, has hailed the former governor of Oyo State, HE. Oba Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja on the occasion of his 80th birthday.
Olayinka Segelu, who is aspiring to be the next governor of Oyo State come 2027, in a statement, described Oba Ladoja as a quintessential leader, dependable politician and staunch democrat.

I celebrate not just your remarkable journey, but the profound impact you have had on many of us over the years. I was part of your governorship campaign team in 2002. I was the Coordinator for the student chapter. The Polytechnic, Ibadan then. It was an honor for me to witness your dedication and vision firsthand as you led Oyo State from 2003 to 2007.
For over two decades, I have admired your political influence and leadership. You have always been a father figure to us, treating everyone as your own children. On this special milestone, I kindly ask for your continued support and guidance, especially as we strive to correct the wrongs where necessary. Your wisdom and experience are invaluable to us.
As we celebrate your life, I also extend my wishes for long life and many more fulfilling years ahead. I pray that you have the strength and good health to carry on as a prominent figure in the State’s traditional circle.
