44th Olubadan: Oba Ladoja’s Ascension is Divine – Oloye Adegoke Visits Olubadan-designate, Hails Makinde’s Confirmation

In what has been described as a moment of divine fulfillment, Oloye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke FCA, the Aare Egbe Omo Balogun of Ibadanland and Mogaji of Abosé Compound, Gege, Ibadan, has hailed the ascension of His Imperial Majesty, Senator Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Adegoke described the confirmation of Oba Ladoja’s enthronement by Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, as a testimony of divine will and the enduring strength of Ibadan’s traditional heritage.

Speaking during the visit, Oloye Adegoke noted that Oba Ladoja’s long-standing service to Nigeria as a senator in 1993, governor of Oyo State from 2003 to 2006 and briefly in 2007, and now his elevation as the custodian of Ibadan’s revered stool, reflected a life of destiny, service, and leadership.

“His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, is not only a father to me nor Ibadanland but also a national figure whose wealth of experience and wisdom will further strengthen our traditional institution,” Adegoke said.

He added that the Olubadan-designate’s ascension came at a time when Ibadanland and Oyo State needed a leader of great vision and integrity to uphold cultural values and foster unity.

The Chairman of Solutions 93.9 FM and Aweni Hall, Oke-Ado, commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his unwavering respect for tradition and his proactive role in ensuring harmony within the Oyo State traditional council.

According to him, the governor’s confirmation of Oba Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan further reinforces Makinde’s commitment to preserving the dignity of Yoruba traditional institutions.

Oloye Adegoke prayed for a prosperous reign for the new Olubadan, urging indigenes of Ibadanland at home and abroad to rally around the throne for peace, progress, and development.

He expressed confidence that Oba Ladoja’s reign would usher in a new era of stability, cultural pride, and socio-economic advancement for Ibadan and its people.
