The Executive Chairman of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), Honourable Taiwo Lekan-Salami, in one of his major restructuring process at the club, has come up with the repair and rebranding of the team’s fairly damaged bus ahead of the new football season.
This early move is seen as a significant step in his vision to reposition the Ibadan-based club for domestic dominance and continental relevance.
It would be recalled that the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, recently pledged to provide Shooting Stars with a brand-new Toyota Coaster bus for players and a Toyota Hummer bus for the coaching crew, as part of the government’s support for the club ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season, which kicks off on August 22nd.
In the meantime, Honourable Lekan-Salami has taken swift action by overseeing the repair and rebranding of one of the team’s previously damaged buses. Two other vehicles are currently undergoing mechanical repairs as part of a broader effort to improve transportation logistics and overall club operations.
This initiative forms part of the chairman’s long-term goal to restore the Oluyole Warriors to their rightful place among Nigeria’s football elite and secure a return to continental competition.
As preparations for the season continue, Shooting Stars will also participate in the prestigious 2025 Value Jet Cup Preseason Tournament in Ikenne. The competition is expected to serve as a vital platform for team bonding, tactical adjustments, and competitive readiness ahead of the league kickoff.
With the new leadership taking decisive steps and the squad gearing up for action, optimism is beginning to grow among fans and stakeholders who are eager to see a revitalized Shooting Stars in the new campaign.
