The newly appointed Chairman of the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami, has delivered an inspiring inaugural speech to the players, technical crew, and management of the team, charging them to embrace unity, determination, and a shared vision for success as the new season approaches.
In the address delivered shortly after 3SC’s 1-0 victory over GrassRunners FC of Ikenne in a friendly match at the Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu-Ode, Hon. Salami expressed deep pride in becoming part of the historic club and reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to its progress.
“I am so proud and indeed privileged to be part of this group. Together, we will make history, make ourselves proud, make His Excellency proud, make Shooting Stars proud, and make Oyo State proud,” he declared.
While acknowledging the challenges ahead, Hon. Salami emphasized the importance of teamwork, renewed commitment, and a positive mindset to attain the club’s goals. He also expressed eagerness to engage directly with all members of the team.
“The journey ahead is not going to be easy, but with a renewed commitment, positive attitude, and teamwork, I am certain we will succeed and achieve our goals. I intend to meet everyone very soon to listen to your challenges and ideas for improvement and deliberate on the way forward,” he noted.
Highlighting the limited time before the new season kicks off, the Chairman underscored the need for urgency and collective effort while expressing confidence in the team’s potential to achieve greatness.
Commending the team’s recent win, he concluded with a message of encouragement and optimism:
“Well done on winning today’s game. We look forward to even more victories to celebrate during the pre-season and beyond. Thank you, and God bless.”
The motivational speech has further energized the 3SC camp, as preparations intensify for the upcoming season under the leadership of Hon. Salami and the backing of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration.
