Amofin Beulah Adeoye’s mission to champion the Oke-Ogun Lokan course for the 2027 Oyo State governorship gained significant traditional and communal momentum along with landmark endorsement by the Oke-Ogun chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the gubernatorial hopeful embarked on a crucial visit to the palace of His Royal Majesty, Oba Abodunrin Kofoworola, PhD, Fcs, Olakanla, II the Aare of Ago-Are Land setting the stage for a day of profound regional solidarity.

After spending productive time with Kabiesi, Amofin Adeoye moved to Ofiki land to pay homage to Aare of Ofiki and seek his prayers and collaborations on community development.
Amofin Adeoye and his team was led by his kinsman, Dr. Stephen Olusola Awoleye, to pay a courtesy visit to the Aare of Ago-Are and Ààrẹ of Ofiki land.

The discussion centered on the critical development needs of Oke-Ogun and specifically, how Ago-Are and Ofiki would benefit from Adeoye’s comprehensive plans for the sustainable development of the zone and the wider state. Sharing key aspects of his vision focused on infrastructure, agriculture, and human capital development. Amofin Adeoye sought the royal father’s counsels, blessings and support.

The royal fathers received the plans warmly, expressing pleasure with Adeoye’s ambition and offering their royal wishes for the success in the aspirant’s political journey.
Significantly, Amofin Adeoye was briefed about the imminent 64th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the influential Ifelodun Ago-Are Parapo, extending an implicit invitation to engage with the broader community.
Heeding the Aare’s guidance, Amofin Adeoye and his team proceeded directly to the Ago-Are Parapo 64th AGM. He was met with a warm and enthusiastic reception, embraced by the attendees who represented a broad cross-section of Ago-Are society.

Taking the stage, Adeoye appreciated the community leadership led by Engr Ayobami Adebayo and after all formally declared his intention to contest the Oyo State Governorship seat in the 2027 elections stressing that Oke-Ogun Lokan is a movement that must be listened to.
In his address, Amofin Adeoye struck a nuanced and compelling chord:
He explicitly praised the serving Governor, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, for the developmental initiatives undertaken across the state.
Building on this acknowledgment, Amofin Adeoye passionately argued that the next logical step to complement and extend the Governor’s efforts was to support a candidate from the long-marginalized Oke-Ogun region. He positioned his candidacy as the means to ensure the “arm of development” reached beyond the state capital and fully embraced Oke-Ogun.
Declaring with conviction, Amofin Adeoye stated, “This is the right time for a candidate from Oke-Ogun to become the Governor of Oyo State.”He framed this moment as more than political opportunity, but as something “predestined by God,” appealing to a deep sense of regional destiny and divine favour.
The warm reception and the resonance of his message at the Ifelodun Ago-Are Parapo AGM capped off an extraordinarily significant day for Amofin Beulah Adeoye.
This series of engagements demonstrate Adeoye’s strategic approach: seeking blessings from traditional and religious institutions while taking his message directly to the people. His narrative of leveraging Governor Makinde’s foundation to finally bring equitable development to Oke-Ogun, coupled with the powerful assertion of divine timing for the region, is clearly resonating across multiple layers of Oke-Ogun society. The quest to break the gubernatorial jinx is gaining undeniable grassroots and traditional traction.
