2024 INTER FAITH PRAYER: COUNCIL BOSS CHARGES CIVIL SERVANTS TO RECIPROCATE GOV. MAKINDE’S KIND GESTURES.
It was jubilation galore as staff of Ibadan Northwest Local Government and Okebadan North LCDA converged for the New year inter faith prayer/ interractive meeting held at the Council Secretariat, Onireke,Ibadan.
The Executive Chairman of Ibadan Northwest Local Government, Alh AbdulRahman Olanrewaju Adepoju thanked Almighty God for the grace enjoyed by all and sundry to witness the new year inspite of many anomalies witnessed in year 2023.
He admitted that various unforeseen events came up last year which hindered the socio-economic growth of the Local government, state and the country, yet,as an individual who scaped through it is indeed worthy of appreciation to God.
The Chairman affirmed that the welfare of all civil servants in Oyo state is very germane to Engr Seyi Makinde’s led administration so as to achieve an effective and qualitative outputs from workers for the growth of the state.
Alh Adepoju emphasised that the roles of Civil servants to the development of the State can never be compromised hence the need for His Excellency to provide a conducive working and living environment for them for effective performance.
He appreciated the unflinching supports of the management and staff of Ibadan Northwest Local Government and Okebadan North LCDA in the past years stressing that their perseverance and attitude to work were highly commendable
The council Boss assured his staff that efforts are in top gear to ensure that the secretariat is more conducive for effective productivity.
However, he enjoined the entire staff to reciprocate the kind gestures of His Excellency Engr Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde by contributing meaningfully to the growth of the state and also comport themselves as good ambassador of the Council and never relent in discharging their duties accordingly.
In her welcome remarks, the Head of Local Government Administration of Ibadan Northwest Local Government, Mrs Olaronke Ige appreciated the chairman for his fatherly roles towards the management and staff stressing that the cordial relationship between the Political functionaries and career officers gladden her heart. She assured the Chairman that the members of staff will not betray the trust he had in them.
The HLGA later implored all staff to be steadfast in their schedule of duties. She added that the era of truancy is bygone in Civil service hence every staff must brace up to meet up their expectations as career officers.
In his response on behalf of all the staff, the NULGE Chairman, Com Durodola Muideen assured the Executive Chairman and the Management of the Council the unalloyed supports of all members of staff in working towards the growth of the Local government.
Present at the program were Leader of the House, Hon Kazeem Arowodana Councillors, Chief of staff Hon Kazeem Fantola,Assistant Secretary, Mrs Bola Oladeji and Supervisory Councillors. Others were the Head of Local Government Administration of Ibadan Northwest Mrs Olaronke Ige, Ag.Head of Local Government Administration of Okebadan North LCDA, Alhaja Ojewumi, Heads of departments Deputy Directors, units Heads, NULGE Executives and entre staff of Ibadan Northwest Local Government and Okebadan North LCDA.
