In a heartwarming gesture, Honourable Kehinde Akande, Chairman of Ibadan South West Local Government, has rewarded students who participated in the summer school program with cash prizes and free exercise books.

The ceremony, which took place at Mini Mapo Hall, was attended by the students, their parents, and education stakeholders and party leaders of PDP across the state.Hon. Akande, in his remarks, commended the students for their dedication to learning and their participation in the program.

The summer school program, an initiative of the local government, aimed to provide students with academic support and engaging activities during the holiday period. Hon. Akande’s gesture is a motivation to the students, encouraging them to continue striving for academic excellence. The chairman also promised to reward outstanding students by purchasing their WASSCE forms, recognizing and supporting their academic excellence.

The cash prizes and exercise books were awarded to students who demonstrated outstanding performance and participation in the program. This act of kindness by Hon. Akande demonstrates his commitment to education and the development of young minds in the community.
