The Honourable Member, Hon. Kehinde Giwa, has extended his warmest congratulations to Muslim faithful in Oyo State and Nigeria as they commence the holy month of Ramadan today, February 18, 2026. He also extends his greetings to Christian brethren as they begin the Lenten season.

In a message released today, Hon. Giwa urged Muslims and Christians to seize this sacred period to seek divine intervention, noting that it is the best time to call unto Allah and receive timely answers.
“As we embark on this fasting journey, let us adhere strictly to the teachings of the great Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W) and use this opportunity to pray for peace, sufficiency, blessings, and fulfillment in our endeavors,” he said.

Hon. Giwa emphasized that both Islam and Christianity are created to sustain peace and love in our society, and encouraged everyone to use this period to spread love, kindness, and compassion.

He called on well-meaning Nigerians to seize this period of Ramadan and Lent to reach out to the less privileged, saying, “This is the appropriate time to support the needy and make a positive impact in our society.”
Hon. Giwa assured the people that Allah will grant quick response to all their supplications and prayers, and encouraged them to take advantage of this holy month to pray for their heart desires.

“May Allah intervene in our affairs and grant us our heart desires. May our prayers and supplications receive speedy response (Amen),” he concluded. 🌙️
