Leaders and members of the Alliance for Progressives Movement (APM) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oluyole Federal Constituency have reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining their grand political alliance and delivering victory for all candidates of the coalition in forthcoming 2027 general elections.

The resolution was reached during the monthly APM-PDP Alliance meeting held at Sabo, Idi-Ayunre, in Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo State, on Friday, May 5.

The meeting recorded the presence of party leaders, stakeholders and members drawn from all the ten wards of the local government area, which provided a platform to review the progress of the alliance and strategise ahead of future political engagements.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the APM-PDP Alliance in Oluyole local government, Alhaji Nasiru Hamzat, commended members for their dedication and loyalty to the coalition, describing the alliance as a formidable political force in the federal constituency.

Hamzat particularly appreciated the Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Engr. Akeem Olatunji, for what he described as his unwavering support and commitment to the growth and success of the alliance.

He also lauded party leaders and members across the wards for their cooperation and steadfastness, while expressing optimism that the alliance would continue to record electoral successes.

According to him, the unity and commitment demonstrated by members so far have strengthened the coalition and positioned it favourably to secure victory for all APM candidates in the 2027 general elections.

In his remarks, Olatunji thanked party leaders, stakeholders, appointees and elected officials in the Oluyole Local Government administration for their support and cooperation in the governance of the council.

The council chairman noted that the achievements recorded by his administration were made possible through collective efforts and the sustained support of party faithful across the local government.

Olatunji urged residents and political stakeholders who genuinely desire the continued development of Oyo State and Oluyole Local Government to support candidates presented by the alliance, irrespective of political affiliations.

He maintained that broad-based support from citizens would be crucial to achieving greater development and prosperity across the state and the federal constituency.

The chairman also used the occasion to canvass support for key political figures within the alliance, including Governor Seyi Makinde, who he projected for a future presidential bid, as well as other prospective candidates for various elective positions.

According to him, the alliance remains focused on consolidating its grassroots support and strengthening its structures ahead of forthcoming elections.

Other stakeholders and party members at the meeting pledged to sustain the unity between the two political groups and intensify mobilisation efforts at the grassroots to ensure the alliance remains a dominant force in Oluyole Federal Constituency and Oyo State politics.

The meeting was also attended by several prominent political figures, including former Commissioner, Engr. Ayuba Balogun; former PDP Chairman in Oluyole Local Government, Hon. Adegbola Mukaila; and former Oluyole Local Government Chairman, Hon. Kehinde Abore.

Also present were party stakeholders, local government party executives, all 10 ward chairmen, supervisory councillors, special assistants and numerous party members from across the constituency.
