The Chairman, Governing Council, African Institute for Justices of the Peace, Dr. Akande Kazeem Babatunde, mni, has warmly congratulated Mrs. Olubunmi Oni, mni, on her successful retirement from the Oyo State Civil Service as Head of Service, Oyo State, and on the launch of her book marking the culmination of a distinguished public service career.

Dr. Akande described Mrs. Oni as an exceptional administrator, a dedicated public servant, and a worthy ambassador of the National Institute, whose years of meritorious service have left an indelible mark on the Oyo State Civil Service.
According to him, Mrs. Oni’s tenure as Head of Service was characterized by professionalism, integrity, discipline, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. He noted that her leadership contributed significantly to strengthening the efficiency and effectiveness of the state’s public service, while inspiring a new generation of civil servants to embrace the values of diligence, accountability, and service.

“Your retirement is not an end but the beginning of another phase of impactful service to humanity. The legacy you have built through years of dedication and selfless commitment to public administration will continue to inspire many within and beyond the civil service,” he stated.


Dr. Akande also commended Mrs. Oni for documenting her wealth of knowledge and experience through the launch of her book, describing the publication as a valuable contribution to leadership, public administration, and institutional development.


He noted that the book would serve as an important reference material for public servants, administrators, scholars, and future leaders seeking insights from a remarkable career dedicated to service and nation-building.

As a distinguished member of the National Institute (mni), Dr. Akande stated that Mrs. Oni’s accomplishments remain a source of pride to the institute and the wider community of professionals committed to national development.
